Hey everyone, hope ya had a great Sunday.  We did.  I started doing the sound board thing at the church we attend with Amanda & her family, Lakeside Church in Syracuse, Ut, came home to help James jockey their motorhome and our around as they made the decision to keep their 1989 Silver Eagle motorhome conversion and fix it up.  Guess I'll be busy doing more motorhome stuff later on, should give me something to do, ya think?

Another thing that happened today, we got up this morning to take a short walk with the doggies, and walked out the door to find that it was snowing!  The snow didn't last long, but it was sticking when we walked out the door.  And when I just went out the door to take the garbage out at 5 PM, it was trying to do the same thing again!  Must be the Christmas season, ya think?  I mean it's after Halloween now and the stores have started playing Christmas carols (already!), as well as putting out all the signs and merchandise that they know we want to get as gifts for whoever.  And on top of all that, it's snowing!  So it must be Christmas season, right?  Just for the record, I resent selling techniques like this.  But it's hard to get around if I want to go to any store now.  Darn!

Yesterday afternoon, while James was sick and everyone else was just taking it easy, Katie and I left for some alone time by eating at one of our favorite restaurants, Cracker Barrel, then decided to try out the disc golf course in Riverdale, Ut., Riverpark Disc Golf course.  The link should show a what the course is like, which isn't a whole lot, but it's used a bunch all the time, weather permitting.  While we were there, there must've been 30 people in our vicinity all the time.  As we had never thrown there before, we decided to ask the folks that were following us to show us the way around.  This was a wise move as we kept seeming to lose discs and they were kind enough to help us find them, in addition to showing us the course and which direction is best to get to the baskets.  Never done this before, only floundered around while finding the baskets, but it worked out quite well.

The Travelogue

Ok, the pictures I last showed ya were from September 17, 2011 in Nappanee, In.  The next major stop was in Kokomo, In., where we stayed at Camp Wal-Mart for two days while we saw various sites including the Elwood Haynes Museum,

Kokomo Opalescent Glass,

and ate at White Castle.

While we enjoyed the museum, and going through the glass shop, we didn't enjoy White Castle, and left prior to our meals being finished.  Luckily, there was other food in the moho.  Don't know if anyone else has eaten at White Castle, maybe we hit upon a bad one.  But we won't be going back there again.  I don't think EVER!

There was a disc golf course across the street from the museum, so we went back there the day after we went to the museum and played the course.  It was in a nice big park with bunches of trees, but mostly it was almost wide open so it was pretty easy to find out where the next basket was, and there were no one else using the course either.  The pars were greater than three which is good for us since neither one of us have the best arms in the world.  But as we were leaving, there was another group of folks starting to tee off.  One of the guys was able to throw from the tee to right near the basket which I'm thinking was better than 500' away.  His first throw landed right next to the basket!  Lucky bum!

Ok, dinner's about ready here.  Hope everyone is having a blessed day.
